Having an Indianapolis office, I have an opportunity to see a number of Hispanic patients from throughout the city and surrounding counties. This is understandable as the largest population of Hispanics in Indianapolis at this time live just inside interstate 465 on the westside as well as across it further out west. Like all U.S. cities, Indianapolis has seen a dramatic increase in the Hispanic population, increasing at least ten fold in the past fifteen years. As a population, most are immigrants with variable English lanuguage skills. And while most Hispanics at this point in time are blue collar workers, they have an equal desire for plastic surgery like the rest of the population.

While their English is not always good, they almost always bring someone who is more fluent to aid in the communication process. I find them as an ethnic group to be very courteous and prompt whether it is for an office visit or for surgery. And they are exceedingly gracious and thankful for whatever services they receive, even if not all results are absolutely perfect.
As one of the fastest growing segments of the American population, they also represent a growing segment seeking self-enhancement through plastic surgery. I believe we will continue to see an increasing number of Hispanic patients in our practices in the immediate and foreseeable future.
