While many patients undergo plastic surgery with great support of their spouses or significant other, an occasional occurrence takes that support to a whole new level. Supporting your mate is one thing, actually having surgery as well is another. There are more couples having plastic surgery than ever before. This is occasionally done at the same time but more frequently done in two separate stages with one spouse providing recovery support for the other’s surgery. The most common procedures reflect changes made due to the effects of pregnancy, weight gain and aging. The wife will have variations of the Mommy Makeover such as tummy tucks and breast implant and lifts. Men fight back against the developing tire around their mid-section with liposuction of the stomach and love handles. Older couples are more likely to alternate facial rejuvenation procedures such as face and eye lifts. When you raise children and vacation together it just makes sense to have plastic surgery together as well.
