The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is an organization composed of board-certified plastic surgeons whose practices are either exclusively cosmetic surgery or have a significant cosmetic surgery component. The logo of the society is the famous image of the Egyption Queen Nephretiti whose beauty and elegance has been revered since the time of her ruling in the 14th century BC . Her face is an iconic image that represents many of the angles and proportions of facial features that are deemed beautiful. Her image is overlaid on a triangle or pyramid, an often used geometric shape of perfect symmetry and balance….but may also represent an Egyptian pyramid which were built during her lifetime.
